Awesome day today at the St. Louis Region SCCA October Double Regional Spooktacular Club Race! Our FIRST First place in ITA and first Overall Win. Things worked in our favor even after a mental error at the start when I forgot that I needed to actually shift from 3rd to 4th. I'm sure I'll have the video up soon.
Good day for the Izzy's Custom ...

The final STL SCCA PDX is coming up this weekend! This is the last PDX of the '08 season and looks to be a very good event. The forecast.... well, we're not going to talk about it so as to not jinx it!
This will be my first time on the track this year and we're going to use the PDX to get me used to the car once again before the ''Spooktacular'' ...

It seems in racing, there's always a plan of attack, then there's Plan B for when things don't quite go as planned.
This past weekend at GIR was the first road race of the year for Plan ''B'' Racing. We made some pretty big changes to the Neon this winter - hopefully to be more competitive than the previous 4 years in SSC and ITA: ...

The ITA/IT7 RX7 racecar is over at Tuxedo Park Racing, the Sentra's down at AFI getting some work done on it, and as of 18 hours ago, I've got an empty shop. I'm already getting antsy for something to do.
The 3rd Gen FD RX7 was picked up last night after its 6 point Rollbar was finished off. The interior stayed mostly intact although ...

Tomorrow marks my first time back on the track in a year! Getting excited! I'll be splitting the Test & Tune with my brother Steve and his ITA Neon. I've only driven the car once on track at a T&T so I'll be trying to get the feel for the car after we scrub the new tires in.
Woohoo!!! It's been waaaayyyyy too long!

Not for lack of trying, but it's been almost a year since I've been on the race track!
I'll finally be back on the track coming up in 2 weeks at the St. Louis Region SCCA's Heat Wave Weekend. I'll be co-driving my brother Steve's ITA Neon ACR. He'll race on Saturday so he's sure to get a race in, then I'll be racing on Sunday. ...

Another race was drawing near and despite my best efforts, I was once again without a racecar. Having not been behind the wheel of the RX since zinging the motor last July, I was jonesing to go racing. I had inquired about renting Steven Burkett's IT RX7 for the race, but after thinking about it for a day or two, decided against it. I ...

Since I didn't have a set of wheels to run in the St. Louis Region's last road race weekend of the '04 season, I decided to put on a set of whites and work a corner. I've only worked a corner once before and oddly enough, it was at last years Spooktakular at Gateway. Last year was drizzly, cold and windy out on Turn 5. This year was spectacular ...

The worst day of racing is supposed to be better than the best day at work right? Well, ok, so it is true, but sometimes just barely.
So I take off work on Wed. and Thursday before the race weekend to make sure the car is prepped. I spend Wed. taking off an intake manifold I just installed (to replace the previous owners cheater manifold) ...
