I spoke with Nissan Motorsports today about their contingency program. They offer Awards for the SCCA Solo National Championships and for the SCCA Pro Solo Finale.
A Nissan that wins it's class SCCA Pro Solo Finale can get $100 in contingency information.
A Nissan that wins a class in the SCCA Solo Nationals can get $500.
I'll post more ...

The two year mark for the car came and passed and I totally forgot about it! I picked the car up Friday night April 18th 2003, I ended up not “owning” it until Saturday the 19th as the dealer was swamped and I was late for a date. My sales guy told me to take the car and come back the next morning to finish up paperwork.
It's ...

After our impressive showing at the Arkansas National Tour in mid-March, my co-driver (Andy Hohl) and I decided we needed to go to the Atlanta National tour in early April to compete against 2 of the best drivers in the country, whom we knew would be competing in B-Stock at the Atlanta National Tour.
I ended up getting a hitch built by Tuxedo ...

Dave helped me mount the Kumho 710s on the stock 17” rims tonight. I tell you, it WASN'T easy! It took the two of us to do them all. The fronts were by far the worst. The stock 17 7.5” wheel is probably too little wheel for the Kumho 710 in a 275. We'll see in Arkansas if the tires are too wide for the car! Hopefully the 1/4” ...

We installed the 350EVO adjustable front Sway Bar last weekend just in time for the first autocross of the season for the Project Z. The install went smoothly on a day of lots of work on the car. We also changed the oil, tranny fluid, and rear diff fluid to get prepped for the 2005 Season. The HAWK HP Plus brake pads were put back on the front of ...

So I've had the pads on the car now for a few weeks. I put Hawk HP+ on the front of the car, and HPS on the rear. They work amazing once they are warmed up, but if you go into an autocross corner without warming up the pads you'll soon realize what you forgot to do :)
As for every day street driving. They are horribly loud! I mean squeel like a ...

Well, the e-brake warning light ended up being a low brake fluid light. The low break fluid is probably caused by the fact that the pads are about worn out. So, new Hawk pads will be coming next week, along with hopefully some better studs to try to curb my stud breaking problem.
No runs this weekend, but that's probably for the best $$$ wise, ...

Well I heard back from the dealer yesterday, Moore Nissan. Apparently they've called Nissan North America and they are going to just replace the transmission, I'm picking the car up in an hour or so for this weekend, and then taking it back out there sometime next week when the transmission comes in.
I gave them a list of items to fix, I have a ...

I got up nice and early this morning with the intentions of cleaning up the Z. It's been 8-9 months since I zaino'd the car, and it was due for a little babying.
First I washed the car with Dawn, damn was she hot. Oh, wait, Dawn the dish washing detergant. I used Dawn because I waxed the car a few weeks ago and it came out horrible, so I ...

We're taking the Project Z out to Salina Kansas this weekend to make a run at the BS crown for the Midwestern Division. I'll be hoping to beat Ken Nealy, and Keith Albarelli both of whom I don't think I've beaten at a divisional before. If I win in Salina and then can pull off a win in Topeka Ken and I could have a good battle for the BS crown for ...

Peru was supposed to be the debut of the all new s2o decals! But alas, I am home all weekend, so I'll post pictures.
What do you think? I'm probably going to get them up on the SoloPerformance.com store soon for sale. Would you buy one?

It appears from this thread on scca.org that the Kumho V710s may soon be eligibly again for Solo II competition! This is great news for anyone who is looking forward to run on these tires.
