I've made arrangements to purchase the wheels off of this Yellow Z (Andrew James) this weekend. I'll hopefully have them next week, possibly in time for KC, but most likely just in time for Denver the following weekend.
There are actually 3 more things we're planning on doing to the Z before Nationals. 1 being rotors and pads. 2 and 3 being ...

I spoke with Nissan Motorsports today about their contingency program. They offer Awards for the SCCA Solo National Championships and for the SCCA Pro Solo Finale.
A Nissan that wins it's class SCCA Pro Solo Finale can get $100 in contingency information.
A Nissan that wins a class in the SCCA Solo Nationals can get $500.
I'll post more ...

Thursday evening I replaced the engine tray cover, thanks to a hookup at a local nissan parts department I was able to do it for far less than I had expected! Back a few weeks ago I was headed down the highway and noticed it was dragging, a few zip ties fixed that incident, but didn't last for long, it has been scraping the past few weeks while ...

A quick diagnosis of the engine problems I've had recently with my 2003 350Z, the SOLO2.ORG autocross Project Z.
Sat/Sun 3/19-3/20 in Arkansas for an SCCA National Tour my codriver had the car shut off on him twice, once each day, with problems restarting the car while on course. I ran the courses fine without any problems, we believe his ...

Dave helped me mount the Kumho 710s on the stock 17” rims tonight. I tell you, it WASN'T easy! It took the two of us to do them all. The fronts were by far the worst. The stock 17 7.5” wheel is probably too little wheel for the Kumho 710 in a 275. We'll see in Arkansas if the tires are too wide for the car! Hopefully the 1/4” ...

Damn ass stupid f'n drivers who hit other people's cars in a parking lot and then just drive off!!!!

The stripe is now off the car. Now it's time to repaint it :(
Unfortunately removing the stripe in 44degree weather was probably not such a good idea. The front end had been repainted once or twice over the past year, and a spot of clear coat came off the hood :(
Hopefully in the spring I'll take it to a good paint shop out in Sedalia at Bryant ...

So I headed down to Rolla this morning for the Housing Corporation meeting for my fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha.
I got there around 8am, averaged 80mph from start to finish, somewhere around 23.5mpg on the trip down 44.
I had breakfast at the house after spending an hour uselessly trying to get through to the Cardinals ticket line, my buddy ...

So I've had the pads on the car now for a few weeks. I put Hawk HP+ on the front of the car, and HPS on the rear. They work amazing once they are warmed up, but if you go into an autocross corner without warming up the pads you'll soon realize what you forgot to do :)
As for every day street driving. They are horribly loud! I mean squeel like a ...

More on nationals in another post though.
Today I took the car to Moore Nissan for some more warranty work, hey the warranty is almost up I want to get everything I can done. They had ordered a new door ...

Well, the e-brake warning light ended up being a low brake fluid light. The low break fluid is probably caused by the fact that the pads are about worn out. So, new Hawk pads will be coming next week, along with hopefully some better studs to try to curb my stud breaking problem.
No runs this weekend, but that's probably for the best $$$ wise, ...
