I've made arrangements to purchase the wheels off of this Yellow Z (Andrew James) this weekend. I'll hopefully have them next week, possibly in time for KC, but most likely just in time for Denver the following weekend.
There are actually 3 more things we're planning on doing to the Z before Nationals. 1 being rotors and pads. 2 and 3 being ...

I spoke with Nissan Motorsports today about their contingency program. They offer Awards for the SCCA Solo National Championships and for the SCCA Pro Solo Finale.
A Nissan that wins it's class SCCA Pro Solo Finale can get $100 in contingency information.
A Nissan that wins a class in the SCCA Solo Nationals can get $500.
I'll post more ...

The two year mark for the car came and passed and I totally forgot about it! I picked the car up Friday night April 18th 2003, I ended up not “owning” it until Saturday the 19th as the dealer was swamped and I was late for a date. My sales guy told me to take the car and come back the next morning to finish up paperwork.
It's ...

After our impressive showing at the Arkansas National Tour in mid-March, my co-driver (Andy Hohl) and I decided we needed to go to the Atlanta National tour in early April to compete against 2 of the best drivers in the country, whom we knew would be competing in B-Stock at the Atlanta National Tour.
I ended up getting a hitch built by Tuxedo ...

The surface was concrete, VERY rough on tires, kinda slick but still not a bad surface over all, a little breakup after day 1, patches before day 2. The weather was pretty windy on Friday, not as much wind on Saturday, by Sunday the wind has switched and was blowing form the east. Not near as strong as Friday though. Both mornings were chilly, ...

We made it down to Walnut Ridge this afternoon. My worries of the 710s fitting on the car were uneccessary, the tires/wheels fit fine! Though I think they may be a little too much tire for the wheel up front, possibly buy some 245s for the front before the next big event, we'll see though.
More tomorrow after day 1.

We installed the 350EVO adjustable front Sway Bar last weekend just in time for the first autocross of the season for the Project Z. The install went smoothly on a day of lots of work on the car. We also changed the oil, tranny fluid, and rear diff fluid to get prepped for the 2005 Season. The HAWK HP Plus brake pads were put back on the front of ...

I spent the day prepping the SOLO2.ORG Project Z for the 2005 autocross season. I installed an adjustable front sway bar from 350evo.com, on the stiffest of settings. I also replaced most of the fluids. I put Mobil 1 5w30 in the motor. Red Line 90 MT into the transmission, and Red Line 75w 90 Gear oil in the rear end.
I also finally installed the ...

I'm going to have to recruit Dave to help me with this, but I think we can reproduce this for the Project Z! :)

I got the Delphi Roady2 installed into the 350Z this past Sunday.
I used the Delphi SA10112 to hardwire into the stock FM antenna, this goes inline with the antenna and increases the signal strength for the FM broadcast into the stock radio. So far I am extremely happy with the XM reception, though it seems to have knocked down the FM reception ...

I got the Roady 2 for XM radio for Christmas. I had it running in my dad's GTi on my trip up to Vacaville/Fairfield for New Years, it worked amazing.
Now I just need to get it hard wired into the 350Z. I'll also probably try to hard wire it up for the Turbo Coupe as well once I get that thing running and a stereo into it.
If you are looking for ...

The stripe is now off the car. Now it's time to repaint it :(
Unfortunately removing the stripe in 44degree weather was probably not such a good idea. The front end had been repainted once or twice over the past year, and a spot of clear coat came off the hood :(
Hopefully in the spring I'll take it to a good paint shop out in Sedalia at Bryant ...

So I headed down to Rolla this morning for the Housing Corporation meeting for my fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha.
I got there around 8am, averaged 80mph from start to finish, somewhere around 23.5mpg on the trip down 44.
I had breakfast at the house after spending an hour uselessly trying to get through to the Cardinals ticket line, my buddy ...
