I spent about 5 hours today cleaning up the 88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. I picked up a craftsman buffer yesterday at Sears and used that to apply Maguires Cleaner Wax to the car. I ended up doubling up a few locations on the car trying to really bring some shine back into the paint.
After doing that I washed the car to get any excess cleaner wax ...

So I FINALLY went out to look under the hood of the T-Bird, got her all fixed up.
One of the hoses on the heater core had come off, explaining all the antifreeze I had all over the place.
I hooked the hose back up, filled up the radiator, filled up the power steering pump and boom the car is good again.
So perhaps this weekend I'll get the car ...

The Turbo Coupe failed it's Missouri Safety inspection this morning, I knew it would, just wanted to get it checked out to see what had to be fixed to pass.
It failed for the exhaust, it basically needs replaced, once that is done it should pass everything else on the inspection, hopefully I can get that done this weekend but we'll see.

When I drove the T-bird from the Sauget I noticed that the brake lights weren't working, though I KNEW they worked while out in Sauget. A few days later I noticed that the lights indeed worked, you just had to have your foot completely to the floor to get them to come on, which wasn't so good for coming to a stop, they only came on when ...

I got the Power steering pump put back in the car, with the help of Dave we got the new pulley put on the new pump.
Next was to install the alternator, that's going to have to wait as the alternator I have is bad, I broke a stud off of it when removing it, which was the bolt for the power lead, so I figured I'd take it apart. It was already ...

I went over to Sauget to work on the power steering today. I ended up only working for about an hour as i had/have a horrible headache. I took the mounting bracket for the pump and worked on it, it was a MESS, covered in grease and dirt, much like the rest of the car, so I cleaned it pretty good. I didn't end up doing anything else, but plan ...

I got the Roady 2 for XM radio for Christmas. I had it running in my dad's GTi on my trip up to Vacaville/Fairfield for New Years, it worked amazing.
Now I just need to get it hard wired into the 350Z. I'll also probably try to hard wire it up for the Turbo Coupe as well once I get that thing running and a stereo into it.
If you are looking for ...

The dash is back in the Turbo Coupe. I've gone through and mounted the various electronics. I still have a few things to wire up and mount but the hard part I think is out of the way. Now to find the tubing for the heater/ac system, for some reason all of that is gone :(
