Guy I know is running for MO Gov...

Just passing this along, his platform is not fully set, nor is he on the ballot.  Just putting it out there for an informed electorate.  Have any questions call or email him.

    From his email:

i am forming a new party called the common sense party.  if we can get enough signatures to get the party on the ballot this november i will be the common sense party candidate for governor.

these are works in progress, but here are my websites for more information about what i believe or want to accomplish:

also, a quick note.  i am not asking for money nor will i accept any monetary contributions.  what i will be asking of everyone is to read over the sites and if you like what you read tell everyone you know.  i will also need help with collecting signatures and other projects to make this happen.  if anyone would like to participate i will be more than happy to have your help.

Belief That All Political Parties Have to Work Together as a Team to Get Things Done

That alone gets me interested. Our founders believed in reasonable debate and discourse. We've traded that for arrogance and bullshit.

I was always too liberal for most of Ronald Reagan's policies, but appreciated his leadership. I always felt if I was face to face discussing an issue he would show respect for my position and might respond with something to the effect "...I understand why you might think that..." and then go on to try to convince me why his position would address my concerns.

These days we treat political agrument like a football game. Not only do you have to win, but you have to humiliate your opponent in the process. On top of that I don't believe our country is really willing to face the tough questions we need to to once again be seriously considered a world leader. We're looking backwards and prefer east fixes to problems. I'm appalled that so many actually think a summer gas tax holiday does anything but postpone the problem.

    Rant off.

Oh, more thing. My rant cuts accross both asiles of our government. The problem isn't a liberal versus conservative issue. We need both sides of the discussion to get anything meaningful done.

I normally don't get into political discussions but on this I do have to agree with Bryan. We need leaders who are willing to listen to reason and act with reason for what is best for the country and not just their wallet or their party.
