Re: FORMULA 1 THIS WEEKEND!!
Christopher:I can't believe that Mclaren is going after this when I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they broke some kind of rule with Hamiltons tires during the practice. After all the BS they've pulled this year right out in the spot light you'd they would just shut up. If they get this I hope there is a riot.
If they get this, I hope Ferrari then goes and appeals the Hamilton using two sets of tires during Friday practice violation, and wins. Then if we're lucky, maybe the 2007 drivers champion can be sorted out before the 2008 season starts.

And if that happens, I hope then Hamilton's results @ Brazil are DSQ'd, defaulting Alonso to 2nd in the drivers championship and Lewis bumped to 3rd. Then maybe Hamilton will be pissed off and leaves Mclaren. Talk about shooting self in foot.

Re: FORMULA 1 THIS WEEKEND!!
Hamilton was fined like $25k for the tire thing, but I agree in principle that Mclaren, or someone, should be making the apeal. Norbert Huag said that part of the reason for the apeal is for clarification on the the exact nature of the rule regarding fuel temperature, but I dont think that it should play any part in deciding the championship at this point, especially since Hamilton doesnt want to win it that way.
I'm moving to Theory, everything works there.

riiiiigghht, they're doing it for the good of the sport, just like they say
Interesting tidbit, had McLaren not been excluded from the constructors championship for being cheater monkeys, Ferrari would still have won by one point (assuming, of course, that the results stand as they are now).

Re: FORMULA 1 THIS WEEKEND!!
ummm, McLaren would have still won the constructors, the red cars finished with 204 points, the silver cars would have had 218. I heard that the hearing for the cool fuel appeal was yesterday, but I have not seen any news regarding the results of that.

Re: FORMULA 1 THIS WEEKEND!!
So who's math do I believe here, Muggy's or an engineers?
Who do ya'll think will end up at McL and where's Alonso gonna go. Everyone says back to Renault, but I'm betting the money will talk and he'll end up at Toyota. Apparantly Renault isn't willing to give him top dollar to get him. My prediction is that Alonso will be the next JV--a great driver in an average car and no decent results again.
I'd love to see Webber or Trulli at McL, but I'm sure they'll go younger. Rosberg seems to be a popular choice. Williams doesn't wanna let him go but Frank needs the money he'd get by doing so. Or I've heard Heikki's name mentioned.

Re: FORMULA 1 THIS WEEKEND!!
McLaren's total would have been 203 given the 15 point loss at Hungary.
I'm not sure where Alonso will go. I could see him swapping places with Heikki possibly. From what I understand re: Renault, its not the money so much as they want a two year deal minimum so they can secure the sponsorship to pay him.
I could also see McLaren promoting Paffett so as not to make any race seats available to Alonso
I really don't see him at Toyota. RBR is much more likely, IMO.

Ah, I forgot about the Hungary penalty, that was for a non crash tested rear crash structure wasnt it?
