    Re: FORMULA 1 THIS WEEKEND!!

Poor Massa! Hopefully he can cut through the field. It was pretty hard for me to watch the post-qualifying interview session. I really miss Michael. The more I saw Kimi speaking in his unemotional and broken nordic robot voice, the more I missed Michael's charm and character. I still bleed Ferrari, but Massa is probably the guy I'll mostly root for. I don't have anything against Kimi and I am glad that he is onboard. It's just hard to see a man act as if someone has shot his family and dog after he wins a F1 GP.

Kimi is like a deer in the headlights, but a great driver.  Oh yeah, where the hell did the Super Aguri team come from???!!!  I know Spyker isn't happy, and protesting, but wow, I am impressed.

I really think this will be a fun year to watch.

SpeedTV is on the fritz right now (at least, at my house). Hope they get it working. There is supposed to be something on now right? 12H Sebring?

Well done for Kimi and Ferrari,  Massa moved up well from last place, no more failures and he'll be right up there with Kimi.

I am really impressed with Hamilton, on the podium in his debut and quick, looking forward to see what he does in the future.

I always seem to have that problem. Seems like everytime I turn it on its "NASCAR Today", or "NASCAR Tonight", or "This Week in NASCAR", or "NASCAR, Up Close and Personal", or "Bathrooms of your Favorite NASCAR Drivers". I'm pretty sure there is more racing out there...but if I didn't know for sure I'd end up thinking all there was to racing was driving a taxicab, turning left and having a big crash ten laps before the end.

Kim, love the cardboard F1 car. The new Minardi or an 07 IRL car?

    Re: FORMULA 1 THIS WEEKEND!!

That was a great season opener for F1.   Kimi just boogied, 'cept for his near-off towards the end (whoops) when he wasn't paying attention (not as bad as C. Albers playing w/ earplugs, tho! Surprise)

Can't wait till the next one, that'll be some good stuff!

Hey, Alex Wurz, you got something on your.... nope, it came off. Stick out tongue

    Re: FORMULA 1 THIS WEEKEND!!

A great start to a promising season.  I'm glad Kimi was able to lay the smack down but it was a big shame about Massa.  I'm still standing behind my prediction, although one wonders if Michael would have made it to 5th or even 4th in the same situation.  None-the-less, a good drive.  Hamilton definitely impressed though I'm a bit surprised about Heikki.  I'm convinced he'll kick some *** before the season is through.

And Mr. 2-time WDC needed his rookie team mate to get held up by traffic so he could squeak by in the pits.  You suck Alonso Stick out tongue

Um, I think you mean the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring. See the GT2 thread.

The Rolex 24 was a few weeks ago, farther upstate in a better known part of Florida. It was Toyo, er, Lexus power that won that one.

    Re: FORMULA 1 THIS WEEKEND!!

Nobody mentioned BMW.  I was surprised to see how fast they were.  Coulda had two in top 5 if both finished.  Nice to see all that cash Toyota keeps spending is still not going anywhere.  I heard em say on tv that their gearbox comes from Williams!  Those Honda sure were pretty, too bad they sucked the big one and got soundly beaten by their junior team.

I think I might of seen Kimi almost smile on the podium.  He's making progress.

Anyone elese think that the McLaren and a couple of the other new cars look like a plastic model that was left on the radiator too long?

    Re: FORMULA 1 THIS WEEKEND!!

They need to eliminate all those silly aero protrusions.  It's gettin kinda silly with all those things and keeps them from being able to run nose to tale and thus passing easily.
