Sawsall + Viper...

... and I was worried about drilling a couple of holes in an M3 hoodStick out tongue

Tuxedo Park Racing has graciously given me the opportunity to redo some cage elements of a T1 Dodge Viper. The drivers side lateral bar needed to be reworked as it was too close to the drivers head. The main hoop diagonal as well as the harness bar also needed redone as the owner is replacing the seat and is way to tall for how the cage/seat was originally set-up.

Work has progressed a little slower than expected on my end, but we're on pace to have the fab work completed by Memorial Day. Who'd have thunk that a Viper has less interior room to work in than a Miata??? Anyone need a non factory fiberglass roof for a Viper removed and replaced 20 times a day?? I'm getting pretty good at it!

There's something to be said about working in an environment like the one at Tuxedo Park Racing. Something very close to Nirvana when you're laying in the most awkward position, TIG welding a roof bar in place on an SCCA Touring 1 class Dodge Viper while a dyno tune is going on 10' from you on an E-Production RX7 with a Periphreal Port rotary at 8,000+ rpms. Of course, one mans Nirvana is anothers bleeding ear drums. Ear plugs are a good thing.

The Orangche 924 is almost complete. Drivers doorbar and right side net mount is all the major fab work left to complete. Good thing a 3 day weekend is coming up, lots of work to be completed!
