The CG might be a little high...

If you told me 6 months ago that I'd be building a Horseless Carriage replica, I'd have looked at you like you a little ***-eyed... but that's just what I'm in the middle of!

Take one less than stellar set of blue prints, some 1" tubing, lots of odd steel and 3/8" cold roll, some rod ends and a bandsaw (everyone needs a bandsaw... coolest tool on earth!) and viola...Mockup body

There's been quite a bit of progress since this pic using a mock up body. The body is pretty much done, the 9HP, electric start motor is mounted, the "suspension" is complete as well as the steering linkage. The tiller (steering wheel... but steers like a boat) is still being completed.

The cart is off to get painted while the shop gets occupied by a Porsche 968 for a couple of weeks. No 1" square tube for it though!!!

Very nice.  Just think what would have happened if Karl Benz had oriented strand board.

That's suprsingly cool, though in a frightening sort of way.

The plazma cutter is WAY cooler than a lowly band saw, though :p
