Well, less than 24 hours from now Nick and I will be on the road to Atlanta. We're planning on pulling out of St. Louis around 3am, but we'll see how that goes. I will have a lot to do tonight to get ready. Load the car on the trailer, pack the van. Yup,...

So I finally got around to cleaning up the Corvette yesterday. It really needed a coat of wax and a good going over with the clay bar so after a round of golf in the morning I came home and gave the car some love. Here's the order of things on Sunday....

So it's Wednesday already, I've been back for a few days and haven't done a review for the Midiv Divisional Solo event in Kansas City this past weekend. So how was it? Based on my driving performance, very poor. Based on everything else? It was okay....

Wrapped up the BMW E30's 4 point rollbar, Recarro seat install, strut bar install and rear sway bar mount reinforcement over the past weekend. The strut bar install took more time than a prefab bar should take to install. Quite a bit of tweaking was involved...

Alex April's E30 4 point project is just about wrapped up. Took a little longer than I had anticipated, but toss a sick kid and a tax deadline in the mix and progress can get slowed down a tad. Pretty straightforward 4 point with some reinforcement of...

So.... tip when you get new wheels/tires/lugnuts, triple check the darn torque on the lug nuts. I was driving to class tonight and starting getting some horrible feedback from the car. I pulled over to the side of the highway and started checking lug...

I've had new street tires for a few weeks now but finally got my new street wheels today. I called around a few places. I tried Autozone and I think they told me it would be $30/wheel to mount and balance the tires. That was a bit higher than I had hoped...

The Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4 has headed back north to Iowa. Won't be long and it'll be tearing up the track in NASA's TTR class. "Izzy" earned his keep while we were loading the car up. Apparently the 3K GT's are fairly wired together and the windows wouldn't...

It seems in racing, there's always a plan of attack, then there's Plan B for when things don't quite go as planned. This past weekend at GIR was the first road race of the year for Plan "B" Racing. We made some pretty big changes to the Neon this winter...

So my parents are in town for a few days. Dad and I spent some time working on the motor for the 240Z today. I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow. We pulled the valve cover off, as well as the oil pan, to look things over on the motor. So far things...
