AADHD strikes again!

So on Friday I started getting my AADHD again. I started thinking maybe a CTS-V was still a good idea, then I worked my way into thinking a Pontiac GTO would be the way to go. 400HP, 2door, 4 seats.

I looked at Ploofs 04 GTO on Sunday at the STL autocross. Sunday afternoon I headed around to a few dealers that I knew had some GTOs on the lot. I looked at Sinclair Pontiac which had 5 or 6 new 2006 cars, but unfortunately all automatics. I then hit Frank Leta Acura as they had an 06 6spd used. It has 28k miles on it though.

I spent a few hours Sunday night looking online, and more time on Monday. I can tell you, I was able to locate a few brand new 06 GTOs sitting on dealer lots, even fewer 6 speeds. There are 2 Red ones in the surrounding states, I really don't want red. I located a few quicksilver ones as well, one in Fresno, and one in New Jersey.

Tonight I came home from work and grabbed Natalie and her mother. We went down to Frank Leta and test drove the 6spd there. The car is fun, just like the caddy, tons of power, 6spd feels decent though has a fairly long throw. Natalie absolutely hated it! I think more the fact that she loves the tahoe and knows I drive slow in the tahoe, she'd rather I be slow in the Tahoe than driving a 400hp car around town.

So for now, I'm done with my GTO search. I may, and I say may, look for something else, possibly a used Camaro to hold me over till the new Camaro comes out, but we'll see...
