Hewland Mk9 for sale - I have a complete Hewland transaxle for sale. It has been converted to a five speed, has inboard vented rotors with four piston aluminum calipers and stainless brake lines. The transaxle is in perfect working condition. Was last gone through in 2000. I have multiple gear sets included as well as extra slotted rotors and aluminum hats. Came out of a perfectly good running Formula car.Taking offers before it goes in Sportscar, Grassroots, Victory Lane Magazine and misc. web classifieds. For picstures of the car, goto www.microserve.net/~jlipp...e0010.html
Contact me via e-mail at [email protected] or call me at 1-800-281-3564 x251

Hey <Joel>, your link isn't working...

Is the Mk9 an open wheel car? Sorry to sound stupid, but I'm kind of new to the whole SCCA thang...

Pete, "e;MK 9"e; is the model of the transaxle itself. If you want more details, you can go to:
http://www.taylor-race.com/

I believe Craig Taylor has some documentation on that web site that details the different models. Sorry, I don't know the exact URL.

Joel's URL didn't work for me either, but this one may get you close:

Hey <Joel>, why are you selling? It looks like you're almost done! Do you have anyother pics of the car?

Who makes or sells these cars new? Anyone have a link they can share?

Hello Pete:
Here is a link to current pictures of my other car I have for sale. They were both Zinks....a company purchased the Zink assets called Citation.

The pictures you saw are of a car I sold recently. The gearbox was in that car. I kept the gearbox for my other car. Now I am selling that one to buy a newer Atlantic - The new one doesn't use a Hewland, hence no need for the gearbox.

The car is also for sale - taking offers before I advertise it in various magazines.

Hope to hear from you.

Best Regards,
Joel :p :p :p :p

I have been looking for something like this. I'm particularly interested in the transaxle. How much are you asking?
