17x7.5 OZ Ultraleggerras, Kuhmo V710 245-45-17, Koni FSD w/stock springs - What Class?

Thinking to add the Eibachs to the FSDs and stiffer front and rear anti-sway bars - What Class?

Stock wheels are 18x7.5. Switched to 17's because tires are cheaper.

Locally 17x7.5 OZ Ultraleggerras, Kuhmo V710 245-45-17, Koni FSD w/stock springs would still let me run in DS. They don't bump me for the reduction in wheel diameter. I'd like to know if that's correct.

I'm looking at mods for next season and trying to decide between staying in DS or doing option 2 and taking the bump. I think I'd get moved to STU and would like a second opinion.

The drop in diameter would not be allowed on a National level and would move you to an SP class, not sure which one, but I would assume DSP?

The other modifications would most likely be DSP legal as well.

As for STU, you could probably go there, but not with the V710s, you'd have to get a street tire (140+ treadware)

If it were me, I'd run the stock wheels with 710s and play in DS

Thx, after digging into STU and DSP, staying in DS is the best choice for me.

Per the 2008 Solo2 rule book the R32 plays in STX and not STU see page 183 in the PDF http://www.scca.com/documents/Solo%...ules_2.pdf or 167 if you have a hard copy.

Thx, I'm new and still learning how to read the book. I incorrectly carried the 3.1L displacment limit from STS into STX. Now I've got some more research to do.

Since you are new run what you already have. Don't worry about making any more changes to the car. You really need to learn what you can do and what you need to do to fix the driver.Don't worry about being competitive at this stage.

    I agree with the advice.

I'm green but not a complete novice. Now that I've got a couple of seasons under my belt, I've decided to get a little more serious.

Since both the 17" and 18" tires worn out and the shocks are shot along with a few other things, I'm trying to decide which class I'd enjoy the most before selecting replacements.

Probably going to stick with DS for a while.

    Thx!
