I really like the side bar, but it takes up quite a bit of space. My vote goes to the Horizontal design. The rest of the site looks great though. I like the black, and I have yet to run into any issues.

If I had a 19" widescreen monitor, I might like the side bar design.  But since I have a standard 17" monitor, the side bar is not ideal.

I really like the new layout and some of the width issues seem to be fixed, so I voted for vertical.  If there is way for the forum software to resize pictures in posts that would make it even better.

I like the way it looks, the only problem I have is that I can't login with my phone.  For some reason I can't click on the box to sign in.  So I guess I'll still have to do all my posting from home.

Of course the polling is still open, we're in STL.  How many times has the dead alderman voted?

Widescreen makes the site worse with the Side bar like it is now. On either my laptop or my dads it makes the post area small and gives a equal space on each side. But that could just be the way both laptops are configured. and that I view useing FF2.0.X

okay, I just had an idea.  Why not keep the menu as it is now but move it to the upper left corner of the top bar?  That way, you still get the vertical feel while not having the largely empty space where posts could be.

Horizontal menu won by 2 votes... I'll see what I have to do to convert it back over the next few days.
