0 Replies and 326 Views Aluminum calipers?  326  0 Started by  Russ McBride I wonder if anyone has changed calipers on their FSV. I know the chances are slim, since the original rules required VW parts. I'm running my car in a class that allows improvements, and I've wondered if lighter calipers would reduce unsprung (and overall) weight.Any thoughts appreciated.

1 Replies and 292 Views Wanted: Super Vee Flywheel  292  1 Started by  Aardvark I have a 9.5 inch diameter steel flywheel running a 7.5 inch diameter single disc clutch. It has a 113 tooth ring gear (well, it USED to have teeth), which is welded in place. The car originally had a Schrick 1.6L Super Vee engine, so that's my best guess as to origin. Anyone know anything about these Better yet, does anyone have one or know where I can get one

0 Replies and 268 Views Lola Registry  268  0 Started by  Anonymous Allen Chou is doing a great job getting the Lola Registry underway. At this point we have a lot of FSV material. If you have any of the original Lola setup sheets, sales material, etc., it would be great if you could share it with other Lola owners. The best way is to scan it and forward it to Allen, or myself, and he can put it online. Lola owners - we need to unite.Richard

1 Replies and 278 Views Transportation of a super vee and trailer  278  1 Started by  Anonymous I'm looking at making a purchase of a Super Vee and possibly the trailer, but I am having a very hard time finding a way to get the package from the East coast to the West coast, without spending 1700 bucks. I could really use the trailer, but a few of the trucks I have found can not take both the car and trailer. I'm hoping that there are several people out there that can point me in the right direction. numbers of trusted haulers. The potential car is in Pennsylvania and need...

3 Replies and 302 Views Wing Mounts  302  3 Started by  Anonymous I'm attempting to install a wing on my Lola. This an early air cooled car. I've got a wing, and a Hewland. I just have no idea about the best way to attach the wing. I assume most of you are mounting it to the tranny.I would appreciate any pictures you might have of how it's done on your car. That would help a great deal. I would also like to be able to remove it without a lot of aggravation since the original car never had a wing.Richard Newton

12 Replies and 338 Views NotsoFast at Pikes Peak  338  12 Started by  Alain Jerry, Bad news for me the weekend of 7/8 june at PPIR. Serious engine problems (seized main crank bearing) leading to a full rebuild means I will not race. The problem showed up recently and I cannot get the repairs done in time to race. I will still be up that weekend though, to visit family, and plan to come by on Saturday to support the other 3 guys from ABQ, and meet /visit with you and the other RMVR open wheel folks. Bummer!
