0 Replies and 838 Views Team POS goes road racing!  838  0 Started by  BDSCT51 Trey and I went to Hallett for the weekend and had a great time! We spent Friday at a test day. I raced on Saturday and Trey ran on Sunday. No body parts (car or Trey!) were harmed during this episode of 'As The POS-7 Turns'.   Practice day! We arrived bright and early for an 8:30 driver meeting. I sent Trey out first. We really decided to use today just for track familiarization since neither of us had been here before. Trey worked the car around slowly and cautiously ramping his speed u...

13 Replies and 810 Views I bought a new car  810  13 Started by  RX 555 Or at least new to me.  I'd been looking at quite a few things and was hoping to find a lightly used Audi S4.  I even test drove the Lexus IS-F for grins.  I liked a lot of things but didn't really like anything in particular until I drove this.  Picked it up Saturday.  It's an 03 M5 with fairly low miles and really well taken care of. And for all you rally fans, I did hang on to the WRX for rally stuff and winter driving.

We had a pretty good weekend in spite of the heat and humidity. We accomplished all of our goals except the one where no more bodywork was needed. I'll get to that a bit later. Our tow down was uneventful as we got out of town a bit late. We arrived at the track, registered, unloaded the car, and went through tech. Saturday morning was damn HOT and HUMID! We checked all the car's vital...

3 Replies and 570 Views The new POS Bimmer race car!  570  3 Started by  BDSCT51 Arrived today from Milwaukee. One of my partners on the car ran up and picked it up this weekend. It is an E30 318i already prepped to ITB standards. The car has a little background as a former Cendiv ITB champ. It has not been raced in a few years and a few things will need to be taken care of. We are hoping to break it in at the PDX on the21st and race it at Memphis the following weekend. It will need some TLC so all this will happen. I'll get some pics up a bit later. It is safely tucked in o...

(Topic has multiple pages1 2 )
Thought I would go ahead and get a thread started for the upcoming race weekend here in St. Louis. I will be running the Scott Aerospace Technologies POS-7 in the IT group on Saturday and Trey will be driving on Sunday.Should be an intense weekend of racing as it is also the first Midwest Division National event. The total entry count is already over 100 cars so it will be a good time for all. Each run group should have over 20 cars and this is usually a good thing for action all over the track....

2 Replies and 554 Views The Memphis POS-7 report  554  2 Started by  BDSCT51 Trey took to the track for the first race of the year for us at Memphis Motorsports Park yesterday. We got the car in 'almost' race trim late Friday night and loaded all the stuff for an early departure Saturday morning. The drive down was uneventful but VERY wet. We arrived at the track about 1:00 in the afternoon, got registration and tech out of the way and unloaded the car. It was off to downtown Memphis for some 'real' BBQ! Since we have so many family members in that part of the country on...
